It's a very odd situation; I don't feel any sense of outrage over it. It's not what the common man in the street would take for assault, and no one has actually been hurt. You might argue that it's a good idea for a surgeon to leave an internal "signature" so that he can be traced down the line - I'm not sure how reliable NHS records are.

But yes, it is arrogant. Can you imagine if IJ was the surgeon though? He'd have drawn a cock and balls!

I do feel a sense of outrage.

Assault or whatever term is used is irrelevant.

It is a total violation of your body.

Far too many high ranking medical professionals think they are beyond reproach.
