joining Hearts as part of the management team replacing David Southern.

i don't know much about him, however, i have a mate who was heavily involved in the "save the Dees" campaign and is a massive Dundee fan that goes into apoplexy whenever Gardiner is mentioned, should be fun.

Aww no, not another one.
Thought we'd got past all the numpties with massive egos cos they're 'on the board of a team in a relatively small league'. Whose always the victim when their daft wee power battles start? The club that's paying them of course. Hope it's not like that this time...

quote from my mate "oh mate no, he's a crooked corrupt c**t"

I have no idea if this is true or not and i'm not alleging anything.

Had a look at some stuff on the 'net about him - seems to have been a key figure in anything that was a problem about Dungdee in recent years, but of course that could just be a case of the winners writing history. The truth could be a bit less simple than it usually appears to fans.

I'm not going to go into detail on some of the information i've been emailed but a quick google search reveals some interesting information - some of which comes from official sources. It would appear that "corrupt" could be true, and he also appears to have alot of links within the scottish media through his pal Irvine at Media House.

It's a confusing appointment to me anyway. What is he needed for?
