I consider myself to be a very principled (read gobby/opinionated) :mrgreen: woman.

I think there are times in life that you need to stand up and be counted, even if you get criticised for it.

And I think this is one of these instances.

Don't know what she does for a living, but in my experience her view ('The 40-year-old claims giving out these kinds of prizes "demonises the weak" and is not the kind of thing that happens later in life.') isn't what I've often seen.
But yes I admire people living up to their principles (especially if I agree with them :) ), and feel that society is going the wrong way and we need principled individuals to show others it doesn't have to be 'me/greed'.

The prize for 100% attendance is not about those who fall ill and more to do with parents taking their kids out of school during term time and those who just bunk off.
Let the lad get his reward and night out. He deserves the attention.
