As it happens, I'm in the middle of cooking some sausages as we speak.

The butchers up here are great - just a pity you can't get a decent roll on the island.

I had the willpower not to cook two of the aforementioned sausages for breakfast and kept them for dinner, which I was going to make last night but ended up running out of time.

So, this evening's tea is roast chicken basted in butter with streaky bacon, roast potatoes, roast veg, sage and onion stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and two pigs in blankets.

Bet you're all well jealous.

That's a regular stop for us when travelling to the Glencoe area.

I really like their food; I like the fact that it's proper butcher meat they serve and none of yon processed rubbish, and I like the fact that it's cooked to order.

I think they're getting a bit too hefty with their prices though.

Still, would much rather pay more than go to the Green Welly cafe.

That was a must place for fish and chips, they then went up market with the add on " tent" then fixed structure. Prices went through the roof and quality dropped. Stopped going around three or four years ago.
