Real's good run came crashing to a halt as Aberdeen comprehensively won at the Gyle. With a squad of 21, the gaffer selected two entirely different outfield teams for each half. However, IML were too strong, taking their chances at the right time and Real suffering from some poor refereeing. Consolation goals from myself and Alan.
Bad day at the office but keep the faith. Overall we've come a long way since this time last year.

Assured finish from Smudger's arse.
He was inexplicably 50 yards further forward than his starting position in defence suggested. I would put that down to the confusion / bemusement of an unexpected benchwarming appearance in the first half for Mr Smith.

Certainly there were a good few B team performances!
The whole 2 teams thing never worked at all. As one of the second half team, whilst we went out to try and win our half and let the game take care of itself, the (fictitious) third goal knocked the stuffing out of us after a reasonable start to the half. 1 great goal from them aside, we were far too easily opened up and the communication between back 4 and goalkeeper is something we need to work on, as well as being better at keeping our shape all over the park.
Personally I had a shocker but as a team we need to be much harder to beat and I think fielding the strongest team to start and then introducing the subs is the way to go, rather than what we did, which was weaken both halves.
anyway, fuck it, next time round we'll be better.

When there's plenty of shouting/communicating and we string the ball about we're a very good team and hard to break down but this happens in patches throughout the game. We're all guilty of it but it's easy to fix and I'm confident we'll be vastly improved and right up for the next game. While the 2 team thing did backfire, it did give the gaffer the chance to see what everyone is capable of and who can come in and play which positions well. A terrible day at the office but let's not beat ourselves up about it. Fucking onwards and upwards you shower of sex offenders.

It was a general malaise which had slipped in to our second half against OL and kept going for 90 minutes on Saturday.
I think both our 11s were good enough to go out and win the game, but the mentality was bent towards a 45 minute goal and it was very unfair on the second half side to face such an uphill battle.
they were also very good, with an excellent spine to their team.
Hopefully we'll be back ont he field again soon. Second place in the table is still very much acheivable.

Our best player started on the bench Good for the gaffer to get to see everyone for a half though. Nice to win games this season, but untimately this is a transitional season for Real
